In April, I showed my first wedding vendor booth at a Greenville SC wedding venue grand opening at Piney Grove Ranch! Wow wow.
After years of shooting as a Greenville wedding photographer, I was scared to dream big for this show. I envisioned something small at the start of planning, but God. God and a friend encouraged me to make it fun and do my best.
I Corinthians 10:31 says, “Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God.”
“Best” meant bring color and fun; be bold and don’t be afraid of dreaming. Every little detail of my booth made me smile… and many elements like my antique cameras, flower clips, and vase came as gifts from friends which made it feel like I had my whole tribe behind me. I really couldn’t have achieved my dream booth without my family and friends!
Specifically, thank you to my dad for helping me mount my signs and blowing up all the balloons days leading up. Thank you, Mom, for helping get the table cloths and photo backdrop ready.
And a very very huge shoutout to my college friend Kelly for volunteering her whole Sunday afternoon to assist me with table and photobooth set-up and tear down!!
The day prior to the grand opening was so busy for me; I had 2 last minute senior sessions an hour away in Anderson, SC and a 5-hr long friend get-together the same day. I almost called Piney Grove to cancel my attendance or at least my vendor booth, but I knew I couldn’t back out on my commitment. I didn’t know how many vendors would be showing or how large the event would be, and I was starting to allow imposter syndrome to get to me, but God.
As soon as I printed my branded name tags, I was hooked on adrenaline! My parents helped so tremendously, and I knew that practicing the balloon photobooth at home at 2 am the day of would be well-worth it. (I mean I survived college days on 3 hours of sleep, right? What’s the difference 3 years later?!)
At the grand opening, my friend Kelly made my photobooth dream happen; she also troubleshot it every single time the wind blew.😰😮💨 What a friend!!
My first photography vendor booth was definitely a memory for the books! It was such a privilege to show with other talented Greenville SC wedding vendors, and I’m so grateful to Piney Grove Ranch for inviting me.
